a dear old friend Megan came into town from her (hopefully temporary) new home over on the east coast so we decided to catch up while enjoying some chicken and salmon at Habana with Monica. Better late than never: CONGRATULATIONS ON THE ENGAGEMENT MEGAN!!!

after dinner at Habana, the girls left me to fly solo to a birthday party at Commissary (Happy Birthday Thomas!). after a few drinks i ran over to the usual bar to meet up with Sebastien!

i know, i know...ive been mayjah lagging on this blog update! i guess its due to me partly being lazy to type and partly being too busy to update. but heres a good one...

i took a quick tornado day trip to San Francisco over the weekend and had the time of my life with ms Mary Mary quite contrary! I LOVE that city and even though i say this time and time again and never follow through with it, i swear im moving there soon. I just need something to give me a little push...

right when we landed we stopped at Foreign Cinemas in the Mission and had the best brunch ive ever had in my life! then it was a quick stop to Barneys to pick up some amazing Givenchy dhoti pants that im sure ill post in the near future.

for my quick shopping adventure i did a black Rick Owens tee layered under a Balenciaga jacket, which was perfect for the chill weather. cut off shorts by Paul Frank. topped of the look with shoes by Converse and sunnies by Dries Van Noten.

my bff Pawl took us all out to Honey SoundSystem at the Paradise Lounge in SoMa that night. im loving the whole vibe there with trannies and dudes in cow outfits... i sure as hell will definitely be going back.

so heres the thing: i usually wear my own clothing into work, change into my work uniform they provide me to work, then change back into my own pieces to head out after i get off to participate in some tragic mess of a night. so sometimes, just to keep myself from going out every night, i wear boring pieces so i have an excuse to call it a night and go home after work.

apparently that doesnt really work...

last night i got a last minute call to crawl out to a bar. i had worn some raggedy rags to work so i could go home after i got off and catch up on some much needed sleep much needed sleep. well i just happened to have a pair of jeans in my locker that looked good with my uniform shirt. needless to say, i threw on half of my work uniform and proceeded to my nearest queer karaoke bar...

Palm Springs May 2010...

so i totally went to Palm Springs for a quick weekend get-away as a little prelude to summer. it was the first time i had ever stayed in Palm Springs and definitely not the last. i had the time of my life...great memories, great friends, great drinks, great weather. it was absolute perrrfection!

poolside at the Renaissance Hotel, where we stayed, enjoying my first drink of the trip: sunglasses by Yves Saint Laurent, tshirt by Morphine Generation, denim shirt by True Religion (sshhh dont tell anyone, we'll keep it our little secret!), cutoff denim shorts by Levi's, and shoes by Converse...

thanks to my good friend Emilio (who also provided as paparazzi for this whole trip), we stumble into the best bar of the trip: Spurline! im line dancing so god knows im having a good ol' time, obvi!

top of the mornin' to ya...

anyone who knows me knows that green is my absolute favorite color. I normally would never wear so much green in one outfit but this fantastic Irish day gave me the perfect opportunity to pile it all on!

i threw on my black Tsubi van winkles, a black Chrome Hearts tank layered under a green mesh jersey tank from Urban Outfitters, my orange and green Alexander McQueen scarf, my green Converse high-tops and my Bess NYC fingerless spiked leather gloves. And even though you can't tell, i had matching green sunglasses and green undies too!

i drank the night away and mixed a ton of drinks and shots and now my head feels like shes gonna fall off...who said st. patty's day was a good idea?! ugh....tragic

only because today was 85 degrees...

today's weather was phenomenal... hence is the reason why i decided to keep it easy breezy in my tee and shorts. i cant wait for summer!!

i wore my grey Martin Margiela AIDS tee along with black cut-off Paul Frank shorts and my janky white Converse chucks.

the tee is perfect for summer, fashionable, and oh so reasonably priced! its yours to take home for only under 100 clams! it reads "there's more action to be done to fight AIDS than to wear this t-shirt but it's a good start." a percentage of the proceeds from this tee goes to Aides, a French organization that was founded to support people living with HIV and AIDS...you look good AND you're donating to charity! doesnt get any better than that!

i dont know why ive been obsessing over these hot pink pants i got from Urban Outfitters over 2 years ago but i decided to bust them out again for the 2nd time in one week! i paired it with this sweater from H&M for Matthew Williamson that i scooped up last year, along with my white Converse chucks.

and i tooootally didnt even realize, until now when i pulled up this pic from the internet, that i styled the look almost identically to how they styled it at H&M. great minds think alike?

happy happy birthday to ME...

I tragically turned 24 today which im NOT happy about!

So i went to dinner last night at the Mondrian with some close friends. Then we hopped over to Bar Marmont @ the Chateau Marmont for a celebratory soiree where the rest of my kids and kats joined to partake in watching me do jack and coke after jack and coke...with maybe a handful of shots of tequila mixed all up in there...

For the tragic event, i decided to throw on a Dior Homme shirt along with a jacket(not pictured), which i both picked up back from when Hedi Slimane was still God at Dior Homme. I got it from the last collection he did for the fashion house back in F/W 2007...

(except i decided to leave the collar open just to avoid looking like ive joined the priesthood)

i chose the gradated Givenchy jeans that fade from black to grey as it goes down the pant leg,

and for the kicks, my good old trusty pair of white, dusty, beat up Converse chucks.

I still get WAY wet just thinking about Hedi's last collection for Dior...is it sad that I just spent the last half hour looking at old pics from Style.com and taking a nice long stroll down memory lane?

Speaking of the past...i think i can honestly say this year was one of the better birthdays ive ever had. maybe a little (just a LiiiTTLE) has to do with my bestie pawl coming all the way down from SF to surprise me. so basicreee, my friends are better than your friends fosho!

and my good ol' trusty pair of black Converse that I wear to death almost everyday. and to sleep i'm wearing my big comfy cozy Chrome Hearts sweater.
