any person taking their own life is a tragedy. and for the people who now have to live with the fact that they bullied someone so hard that the other person had to take their own life: i wouldn't want to wish that feeling upon my worst enemy. in honor of all the teen lives that were lost over the last month, due to gay bullying, i chose to wear purple today...

Palm Springs May 2010...

so i totally went to Palm Springs for a quick weekend get-away as a little prelude to summer. it was the first time i had ever stayed in Palm Springs and definitely not the last. i had the time of my life...great memories, great friends, great drinks, great weather. it was absolute perrrfection!

poolside at the Renaissance Hotel, where we stayed, enjoying my first drink of the trip: sunglasses by Yves Saint Laurent, tshirt by Morphine Generation, denim shirt by True Religion (sshhh dont tell anyone, we'll keep it our little secret!), cutoff denim shorts by Levi's, and shoes by Converse...

thanks to my good friend Emilio (who also provided as paparazzi for this whole trip), we stumble into the best bar of the trip: Spurline! im line dancing so god knows im having a good ol' time, obvi!

im currently relaxing with a face mask enjoying a jameson/ginger after an intense workout with my personal trainer Adam. he JUST popped my gym cherry today and he popped it hard :(

the boyeeeez invited me over for a carb overload dinner. pasta AAAND bread?! i just cancelled out my workout, and then some.

i somehow ended up staggering into 3 lovely bars and crashing on a friends couch. tragic, good times!

my favorite piece of this ensemble is my reversible Ann Demuelemeester vest that i acquired last summer at Barneys in San Francisco. the vest can be worn as it is, striped, or reversed to just a plain black vest. i can virtually wear the same vest 2 nights in a row and no one would ever know...how very recessionista of me, no?!

So today I wore a black Givenchy wool sweater (pictured in camel from Givenchy Fall 2009) with the black sash detail along with leather pants by Diesel...

and Prada's take on the Dr. Martens (Prada Fall 2009) in this gorgeous oxblood colored shoe similar to the show shoe, minus the wingtip detailing.
